Microplastics: A Whale’s Call from the Depths

In the vast blue ocean, a wise female whale named Wallina glided through the waves, her song resonating with the beauty of the seas. For centuries, her kind roamed these waters freely, without plastic, singing in harmony with the Earth.

But now, her songs carried a vital warning. Wallina had witnessed the ocean transform. Once-clear waters were now obscured by drifting plastic—bottles, bags, and fragments that floated endlessly. She had seen young whales mistakenly consume plastic, turtles ensnared in nets, and coral reefs struggling beneath layers of waste. The ocean, her cherished home, was crying out for help.

One day, Wallina rose to the surface and spoke to the humans gathered on a nearby boat. Her deep, resonant voice was filled with both sorrow and strength. “Every piece of plastic you use,” she said, “has a journey. It may begin on land, but the wind and rivers carry it here—to the heart of the ocean. It poisons the fish, strangles the turtles, and fills the bellies of whales like me. The ocean gives life to the planet, yet it is being slowly silenced.”

She explained how plastic pollution not only harms marine life but also affects our entire planet. Microplastics enter the food chain, impacting animals and humans alike. The ocean, which produces much of the planet’s oxygen and regulates its climate, fights to survive under the weight of human waste.

Wallina urged everyone to act:

  • Choose reusable items instead of single-use plastics.
  • Support cleanup projects and sustainable companies.
  • Reduce waste and recycle responsibly.
  • Teach others to care for the ocean as a living, breathing part of the planet.

As her voice faded into the waves, the humans listened in silence. They realized that the whale’s message was not just for the sea—it was for all life on Earth.

Message from Wallina: Protect the ocean, protect the planet. Every action on land ripples through the water, shaping the future of all living things.

Let us rise together to protect this vital lifeline and ensure its song continues for generations to come.

The Healing Power of Water – El poder de sanación del agua

The water is a vibrant, living force capable of purification and healing. It serves as a perfect conduit for the transmutation of energy. Water research shows that our words and intentions can alter the molecular patterns in water. By expressing high-vibrational words like “love,” we create stunningly beautiful structures, while words rooted in fear can lead to disarray. This captivating discovery underscores the influence our thoughts and words have in shaping our experiences and the world around us.

Additionally, sea saltwater provides two key benefits for humans, among many others: it alkalizes our bodies when we immerse ourselves in it. Our skin, being an organ, absorbs salt water, making it a therapeutic tool for overall well-being. Plus, the soothing sound of waves acts as a natural balm for our nervous systems.

We originate from water and ultimately return to it, as water constitutes about 70% of our bodies—just as it does for our planet, Gaia. Throughout history, ancient civilizations have revered water as a sacred element in their rituals. Water still remains essential to our daily lives, supporting cellular hydration and overall health in countless ways.

As stewards of our planet, it’s our responsibility to care for our water resources. Embracing the power of water not only nurtures ourselves but also allows us to uplift those around us!

Life is Better in Colour

Every year, conservationists, foundations, ocean enthusiasts, and organizations unite to raise awareness about coral bleaching — a pressing crisis that endangers the very foundation of marine life.

Coral reefs are among the most diverse and productive ecosystems on our planet. These intricate three-dimensional habitats support a multitude of marine species and provide essential ecosystem services for millions of people worldwide.

In addition, they offer vital food resources, shield coastlines by softening wave action, generate substantial revenue from fisheries and recreational activities, and hold deep cultural significance.

Furthermore, the recent Global Tipping Points Report 2025 has shown that the tipping point for warm-water corals — around 1.2°C of global warming — has unfortunately already been surpassed.
